On our photo tours in Ranthambhore, there are 4 photographers seated in one safari vehicle. For the tour we usually have 7 participants along with a Toehold skipper, ensuring a knowledgable experience with ample of photography opportunities.

Located at the junction of the Aravallis, Ranthambhore is a magical place to explore both during the winters and summers. Winters are extremely pleasant, though there is a nip in the morning winds. During the harsh summers, a lot of wildlife can be seen cooling themselves along the water bodies. Both these periods offer excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings, particularly big cats and other wildlife, making it an ideal destination for safaris.

There are two different safaris that are offered in Ranthambhore, jeep & canter. On most of the photo tours we usually go on a jeep safari, however we can customise your tour based on the safari type that interests you.

The best way to reach Ranthambhore is via Jaipur Airport (JAI), which is 160 km away or from Delhi which is about 460 km away. From both these places it is convenient to travel by road to reach the Tiger reserve. Alternatively, take a train to Sawai Madhopur Railway Station, which is the closest railway station from where you can take a cab or rickshaw to get to Ranthambhore. The possibility of sighting a tiger in Ranthambhore is relatively high compared to many other wildlife reserves in India. The place is a popular destination for tigers and an array of wildlife. While in nature, the wildlife sightings are often unpredictable and not guaranteed, patience and several days exploring their area may increase your chances of seeing the elusive animal.

In Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve all the core zones are closed from July to September due to the monsoon season and reopens in October. However, the buffer zones are open throughout the year. Please talk to us if you would like for us to customise your tour to explore the buffer zones during these months.

In Ranthambhore, the mobile network coverage and WiFi access can be limited to your hotel and rooms. However, the connectivity in and around the park may not be very good.
