Itinerary
Please note:
It is advised that participants arrive a day earlier to help them with acclimatisation. (The additional stay cost is not included in the tour package)
Day 1: Arrival and Overnight in Leh.
Upon arrival, participants are picked up from the Leh airport and checked into the lodge. Complete rest after reaching hotel which will help in acclimatisation. Our representative will get inner line permit for further journey.
Day 2: Morning birding around Sindhu Ghat area and Shey Marshes.
Back to hotel after finishing birding, Lunch at hotel, afternoon visit to Magnetic Hill and Shanti Stupa. Time lapse photography of sunset over Leh city from Shanti Stupa. Return to hotel during evening.
Day 3: Early morning departure for Hunder(Nubra valley); Overnight in Hunder.
Move to Hunder early morning with packed breakfast and travel via Khardungla pass. Birding/photography enroute. Overnight in Hunter.
Day 4: Departure for Sakti, birds and landscape.
Photography on way. We’ll cross warila pass, one of the highest motorable road in this trip, and do birding on the pass. Arrival at Sakti Valley by evening and check in at hotel.
Day 5: Move to Pangong (Merak); Overnight in Merak.
Sakti to Pangong via Changla pass. Birding and photography enroute. Back to hotel for breakfast. Check out after breakfast and departure for leh. Birding on way target species like White Browed tit-warbler, golden eagle and lynx.
Day 6 and 7: Move to Hanle; Overnight in Hanle.
Early morning with packed breakfast and departure for Hanle via Chusul, Day 6 & Day 7 two full days in Hanle.
Day 8: Move to Tsokar.
Early morning with packed breakfast and departure for Tsokar. Birding on the way for target species like, Black-crowned Crane, Tibetan Sandgrouse, Little owl and Eurasian Eagle-owl.
Day 9: Morning birding in Tsokar and departure for Leh; Overnight in Leh.
Back to hotel during lunch time. Check out after lunch and departure for Leh. Birding at Tanglang La on way to Leh. Arrival at Leh during evening hours.
Day 10: Early morning drop off at Leh airport. Tour Concludes.
After enjoying a final morning’s breakfast, we take the customary group picture, check out and disperse with many images to show and many an enthralling story to tell to our loved ones.
